To Elected Officers and Voting Members of the Wisconsin Dental Hygienists’ Association
This notice serves as the 30-day call to the 96th Wisconsin Dental Hygienists’ Association (WI-DHA) Annual Meeting and 6h General Assembly (GA) that is scheduled on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 5:15 pm – 6:30 pm located at the Kalahari Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. As presiding officer and Speaker of the Assembly 97th WI-DHA annual meeting and the 6th GA, I welcome you and thank you for your participation in this year’s meeting.
We encourage you to collaborate with members of your component and hope you bring your ideas to help WI-DHA continue to advance our profession. The General Assembly (GA) member packet will be available on the website by August 29th.
There will be a Candidates’ Forum for you to meet and ask questions of those members running for office. Positions open for nominations are President, President-Elect, Vice-President, Secretary, Component Relations Director, Membership Director, WI Delegates to ADHA, and Alternate Delegates. You can view descriptions of each position in the WI-DHA Operating Manual. If you would like to apply for an elected position, there is a Candidate for Office Packet located in Section 4 of the GA Membership Packet. Instructions for completion are found in this packet.
Deadline is 9/04/23 to have your name placed on the ballot.
Nominations may be considered that day, also. If you would like to be considered for an elected position, please contact any officer that is currently holding this position, or Robin Hemerley, WI-DHA President, or Jennifer Lehto, past WI-DHA President, for more information. All leadership contacts are located on the website under the members section.
This year the General Assembly meeting will be face-to-face and virtual as well! We will be using the zoom platform for voting. Please bring your electronic device (phone, tablet, computer) to cast your vote.
To assist with the virtual format, we are scheduling a General Assembly 101 overview. Date and times to be announced. The zoom link for this training will be sent in an email invitation and/or newsletter.
At present we have two proposed Bylaw amendments and three proposed Policy resolutions to discuss along with agenda items. Your officers, Directors, and Committees have been working very hard for you over this past year, their reports are available also.
We are looking forward to seeing you in person AND virtually in September. After a long day of CE, you will probably be hungry so come for a complimentary meal prior to the start of the General Assembly to reenergize with food and comradery!
