SUMMARY:October is National Dental Hygiene Month
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Dental Hygiene Month (NDHM) with us each October as we come together as a nation to increase public awareness about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. \nProudly sponsored by the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) and the Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program (WOHP) all month long\, we are celebrating the hard work dental hygienists do and helping you “Start the Conversation” about the importance of good oral health and doing the “Daily 4”. Visit the ADHA website for resources to promote dental hygiene month in your office and community. \n \nThe Daily 4 represent the foundation for healthy smiles. Communicate to your patients that incorporating these steps into a regular oral health routine can have a significant impact on oral and overall health. Take this time to discuss the benefits of each step\, and remember\, proper technique is key! \n*ADHA wants to emphasize that starting the conversation is a key aspect of NDHM. Conversations about the recent news coverage of flossing and the benefits of interdental cleaning are strongly encouraged. Dental hygienists are in the ideal position to discuss interdental cleaning with patients\, recommend the interdental cleaning devices that best fit their oral health needs and educate patients to use them effectively.\n  \nSave \nSave \nSave
